Distant Horizon hires its first part-time web designer, Abigail Friedman. Abby now works at Columbia College in Chicago after a five year career and 75 web sites designed for DH. |

Distant Horizon hires Troy Switzer as its first full-time project manager. Troy labored tirelessly for DH for five years, and became Vice President. Today Troy has moved on to become a Distant Horizon client. |

Distant Horizon takes on Topbulb.com as an “e-commerce turnaround” client beginning a mutually beneficial partnership which has powered sales growth in both companies over several years. |

Distant Horizon takes on Mag-Lite Flashlights to build their first-ever web site. Mag is DH’s first client in California. |
August 2001 |
Distant Horizon hires Chris Cato as its first full-time ASP programmer. Chris’s first project, Honey Baked Ham Co. of Chicago, was Distant Horizon’s first e-commerce success story. Today, Chris serves as Technical Director and Project Manager for Custom E-Commerce Clients. |

As Sept. 11th throws a wrench into the American economy, Distant Horizon has outstanding proposals to two companies whose business models depend on high-rise buildings…a worrisome moment that worked out ok. www.habitat.com and www.sopraffina.com both eventually moved forward with DH. |

Distant Horizon takes on Frank’s Nursery & Crafts as a client, who was at that time the largest nursery retailer in the nation. |

Distant Horizon moves into a loft office in the Printer’s Row neighborhood of Chicago. |

Distant Horizon develops its first proprietary e-commerce product, the Scaleable Shopping System (S3). The first implementation was for Paul Supply Company |
September 2003 |
Distant Horizon takes on Gander Mountain as a client, representing DH’s entrance into the Minneapolis web site development market. |
June 2004 |
Distant Horizon moves back to LaGrange, Illinois to focus more specifically on web and e-commerce projects. |
September 2005 |
Distant Horizon launches the new Rapid Deployment E-Commerce software, with Omega Fields as the first implementation. |
December 2005 |
Distant Horizon has its first million dollar year. Vita Food Product’s Rapid Deployment purchase put us over the top. |
March 2006 |
Distant Horizon purchases an office condo in Lockport, Illinois to serve as its permanent office. We will move in February 2007. |
